To provide quality banking services to more micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (mSMEs), CARD SME Bank opens its 21st<\/sup> branch at on May 8, 2017.<\/p>\n

CARD SME Bank is a thrift bank that fills the financial needs of graduate microfinance clients. These are clients who need more financial assistance for their expanded businesses. It also reaches out to start-up mSMEs in providing savings and credit facilities fit for their needs. CARD SME Bank is a member institution of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institution (CARD MRI).<\/p>\n

We grabbed the chance to contribute to the development of the province and so we established a bank here,\u201d Aristeo Dequito, CARD SME Bank President and CEO said.<\/p>\n

CARD SME Bank offers a wide variety of products and services from deposit accounts such as savings, ATM, checking, time deposit and even kiddie savings (Maagap Savings) to consumer loans such as car loan (Drive us wheel loans) and housing loan (Bahay Katuparan Loan). It also offers various business loans especially designed to suit the needs of micro, small to medium-scale enterprises with flexible payment terms and options, affordable interest rates with amounts ranging from P10, 000.00 to P5M. An agricultural loan is especially designed to assist farmers and other agri-businesses.<\/p>\n

According to Ms. Gina Reyes, Regional Director of CARD, Inc. Palawan, about 3,000 clients from CARD, Inc., a microfinance NGO and also a member institution of CARD MRI, has been transferred to CARD SME Bank Puerto Princesa to have access to formal quality banking.<\/p>\n

Notable individuals who graced the bank opening are CARD SME Bank\u2019s President and CEO – Aristeo A. Dequito, Executive Vice President and COO – Cynthia B. Baldeo, CARD MRI\u2019s Senior Management Advisor – Ms. Mary Jane Perreras, AVPs for Operations – Cherry Boncajes and Anita Rapera. Other CARD MRI staff are also present during the opening. After the grand opening, numerous clients opened savings accounts.<\/p>\n
