The Taal Volcano eruption in January, 2020 might have caused damages to neighboring residences and establishments, but Lemery, one of the affected municipalities in Batangas, starts anew. This includes CARD SME Bank as it reopens its doors on August 17 with a new and improved branch along Ilustre Avenue, Brgy. Palanas, Lemery, Batangas, a few steps away from its previous location.<\/p>\n
The newly-built Lemery Branch is strategically located within the commercial and business area of the municipality and is easily accessible to its clients, bringing its products and services closer to MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises). The branch offers different products and\u00a0 services including business and consumer loans,\u00a0 deposit accounts, kiddie savings account,\u00a0 and domestic remittance services, among others.<\/p>\n
To provide safety to its staff and clients against the threats of COVID-19, the branch has instituted several protective measures such as acrylic shields on the teller\u2019s booth and\u00a0 markers for physical distancing, among others.<\/p>\n
The branch opening was attended by a few important guests who all observed social distancing and proper wearing of masks. In attendance were CARD SME Bank President and CEO Aristeo \u201cBoyet\u201d A. Dequito together with Executive Vice President and COO Cynthia B. Baldeo and Assistant Vice President for Operations Anita Rapera. A few CARD SME Bank clients and staff were also present during the event.<\/p>\n
